Tim White, the man tasked with spearheading the Weed and Seed program in Huntington was identified as a semi-finalist in the “Energizer Bunny Keep It Going Hall of Fame” contest for 2009.

In 1991, Mr. McMillian returned home to Huntington WV due to his mothers’ illness and her need to have family close by. It changed his path in life forever. There were few Interior Design jobs in Huntington. Don donated time to the Cabell County Commission to prepare special State and Federal Grants to repair the building and clock tower for its 100th anniversary, researching the history of Huntington and Cabell County in the process.

The Huntington area is full of talented and artistic individuals. I honestly don’t know many people in the area and out of my small network of friends I know to such people; one is Ryan Parker. Ryan is a singer songwriter who has created some amazingly poignant songs dealing with homelessness, some emotionally deep songs such as his tribute to the Marshall University Plane crash, and some funny songs deal with various sports celebrities. His ability to switch genres and create memorable songs is really quite amazing.
