“CSI Huntington” workshops for adults and high school students will be offered February 6 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marshall University crime scene house. The Saturday workshops will be conducted by the Marshall University Forensic Identification Association and Marshall forensic science instructors. The workshop is being held in conjunction with the Marshall Community and Technical College.

To register, contact the Marshall Community and Technical College at  www.mctc.edu, 304-399-1281, 348 15th St., Huntington, WV 25701. The cost is $175.

This course is for individuals who are interested in forensic science. Investigators will have a “crime” to solve using a variety of forensic science techniques for collecting evidence and documenting the crime scene, processing fingerprints, DNA analysis, drug testing, and much more!

Proceeds from the workshops will help support Marshall University Forensic Science graduate student travel to national and regional meetings. The academic program encourages students to attend so they may network with potential employers and to increase their awareness of current issues and developments in the field of forensic science.
