Fat Patty’s – Get Your BURGER ON!

BY: Ed Dorsey 29 March 2009 41 views Comments

Fat Patty’s on 20th Street and Third Avenue is a near perfect mesh of Marshall University meets Huntington; depending on the time of day, there is a blend of campus and town folks in this midtown “joint.” There is a bar and a dining area, with televisions on every wall. The menu offers salads, basic pub appetizers, some sandwiches, fish & chips, and (did I mention…?) BURGERS! They have a variety of burgers, and they cook to order. Chili burger, garlic burger, bleu cheese burger,… well, you get the picture. And Tuesdays are BOGO burger nights, for you folks wanting a cheap dinner out.

My personal favorites are the Cobb Salad, the blue cheese burger, and the fish & chips, a.k.a., Codzilla. My wife likes the burgers so much that she passes by the Reuben, one of her favorite sandwiches! We also go for the Guinness draught, a rarity here in Huntington.

So for a family diner out, girls’/guys’ night, or a date, you can’t beat Fat Patty’s for a “burger and a beer”!
