Marshall Theatre Alliance presents: A CHRISTMAS CAROL a one-man play adapted by Greg Oliver Bodine.

Charles Dickens’ 1867 American Reading Tour is off to a rough start.  Due to an inexplicable loss of his luggage, he regretfully announces that he will be unable to read from his beloved classic, A Christmas Carol.  All is not lost however; Dickens delivers what he promised by performing from memory the magical story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from miserliness to redemption with warmth and humor.  This one-man play is based on the condensed version Dickens himself used on his historic reading tours of the United States.  Marshall University Theatre professor and professional actor of 25 years, Jack Cirillo will be staring as Mr. Dickens.

The Marshall Theatre Alliance will be presenting the holiday classic as a benefit to create the Marshall Theatre Student Resource Room and Theatrical Lending Library.  The dates of performance are December 10, 11 and 12 at 8:00 in the Joan C. Edwards Playhouse.  Ticket Prices are $12 for adults, $5 for children and Seniors, and free to Marshall students with a valid ID.  For tickets and information please call the box office at 304-696-2787.
